QUALITY CONTROL (QC) Services:

Equipment and Component Assessments
- Conduct preliminary inspections and surveys to detect surface wear, dimensional deviations, and mechanical or structural damage.
Scope Definition and Technical Clarification
- Develop and refine project scopes in collaboration with engineering teams and clients.
- Compile comprehensive technical documentation for planning and execution
Application of Regulatory Requirements
- Review and implement applicable South African regulatory frameworks, including PER and SANS 347.
Equipment Hazard Categorisation
- Categorise equipment and components based on operating pressure, medium, and design criteria.
Conformity Assessment Execution
- Apply conformity assessment procedures aligned with relevant Notified Bodies or Approved Inspection Authorities.
- Ensure component traceability, serialisation, and proper registration.
Quality Control Oversight
- Full quality control throughout fabrication, assembly, and site installation, ensuring compliance with ISO 3834, ISO 9001, PER, client specifications, and safety standards.
Key QC Activities
- Material Control: Verification of material certificates, traceability, and identification prior to use.
- Welding Control: Implementation and monitoring of approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Consumable Control: Batch tracking, handling, and storage control of welding consumables.
- Personnel Qualifications: Verification of welder qualifications and competency certification.
Specialised Welding Applications
- Oversight of plug welding, pressure boundary welding, and vessel repairs in accordance with applicable codes and testing standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, EN).
Compilation of Data and Technical Records
- Assemble comprehensive data packs including material certificates, welding logs, inspection reports, and NDT records.
Certificate of Conformity (COC) Issuance
- Compile and issue Certificates of Conformity as per contract and regulatory specifications.
Skills Assessment and Verification
- Conduct structured verification of trade and technical skill sets for internal personnel.
Technical Training and Simulation
- Deliver ongoing technical training using in-house training modules, simulators, and QA/QC workshops.
