EBS Training Academy (EBS) is an Artisan and Technical Training company dedicated to skills development for the Engineering Industry in South Africa.
Training Centres
EBS operates two fully equipped training centres strategically located in eMalahleni and Vanderbijlpark, with a combined annual capacity of 255 trainees:
- 140 Welders
- 90 Boilermakers / Pipefitters
- 25 Riggers
Selection & Assessment
EBS applies stringent selection and assessment processes to ensure quality and readiness:
- Qualification verification for all candidates prior to selection/assessments.
- In-house assessments, training, re-training, and skills upgrading as required.

EBS recognises the growing demand for highly skilled welders driven by modern materials and production processes. Trainees are developed to be proficient across multiple techniques while maintaining consistent, high-quality results—even in challenging conditions.
Training includes pipe, fillet, and plate welding using TIG and MMA processes in 1G to 6G positions. Materials covered include P91, various stainless steels, and alloy materials.
Pipefitters and Boilermakers are prepared for modern workflows and exacting quality standards. EBS makes extensive use of simulation and mock-ups to build confidence and workplace readiness in a supportive learning environment.
